best box design for s10 ext cab?

what would be the best way to design a box for an s10 ext cab? sub facing up? forward? back? what about the ports? not sure if i should go with the pvc, aero or just make a slotted box.

i have a sundown sa-12 (12" obviously). they recommend 1.50-2.00 cubes ported and i'd like to 'upgrade' to the ported box and try not to use all the space in the back. still need space for groceries and whatnot.

anyone have any ideas?
