AB18VFL Posted July 4, 2012 Report Share Posted July 4, 2012 2 channel amps aren't made for subs... if the amp cant produce the low notes you want, adding a crossover will not add them. A crossover either elimiates or boosts the frequencies you want. If you add a crossover to an amp that doesnt produce lows, then once you boost the lower frequencies to where its loud enough, then its all going to be distortion. Might damage your subs.
