Christopher J. Childers Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 I was looking at some vids on youtube when I ran across your work! Great stuff, found the site that way too, I have a question. I am building a box currently, I will be running two 10" Kicker CVT's I was running a standard dual ported box, each sub was in their own chamber, I kind of wanted to copy that design, but add a twist of "SHOW LOOK" to it, I angled my subs so when my rear seat center console is down you will see the subs. Anyways I was going to give each sub their own chamber but with the angles I made, I am worried I might not meet 1.25CF for the min air space... Here is a photo of what I have thus far. It is my first time building a box and I had to make due cutting my circles with a Jigsaw, don’t rip me to hard! lol here is how far I got with fiberglass, The box dimensions are, Width 32", depth 16", Height 13 1/2". Now that would be the whole box, I had a rough time figuring out exact air space with how I angled the subs... Anyways I am thinking about leaving the remaining center all open so the subs would share the same chamber, each port is 1" and a quarter wide, by 12 inches. Again I copied that off my old box thinking it should be okay, however I am questioning myself now... Any insight would be really helpful, I could still split each chamber but I am thinking id only have 1.0CF or 1.1CF. Kicker suggests the subs operate in 1.25 to 3.0CF MAX in a ported box. I appreciate any help on this! Thanks guys!
