I got my volt meter in yesterday and calibrated it. Someone suggested fusing the remote and power wires. Is this necessary? I just ran speaker wire straight to the meter. I didn't think a fuse was necessary since the meter draws such little power.

Electrical: Big 3, Dual Batteries, Stock 160-amp alternator

Wiring: RF 0 gauge

Box: Custom built 1.89^3 net
