Got a guy trying to trade me two 15 inch quad 1 ohm voice coil memphis subs. They have the orange basket not the black basket. With the Blue and orange logo on the front of the sub. I did some research and think they are memphis cm15q1's. But when I search that I only see the new black design. Anybody have any idea what these are and what they're worth and what the specs are? He says Memphis mojo and that they are not m3's. Not sure if he's bsing or not.

Are they the Orange M basket mojos? If so then the model would be 15-M3MOJO15Q. I have one of the old orange basket Mojo's and I'm seeing how hard it is to find them since I'm considering getting more for when I buy my next car. anyways to answer your question, they are really good subs that can handle some power. I've got the TS specs saved somewhere on my pc if you want to know them. they would compare to the modern day memphis CM woofers...or you could say the CM woofers are the new version of the Old Mojos. The older mojos do have a higher sensitivity though. that quad coil mojo has a sensitivity of 91 db, compared to the 88 db of the newer subs. But the newer subs have a higher power handling rating.

Yes they have the orange basket with the M spokes. Will they take a Kicker ZX2500.1? What size box would two of them be good in? I have them in a 6.7cube box tuned to around 31 and haven't hooked them up to the amp yet.

Yes they'll handle a kicker 2500.1 no problem as long as you aren't clipping. they're rated at 1000 RMS 2000 Max, but I had my 15 running on a 2400 watt RMS amp at one point without any issues. as for the box, it'll work too but its a bit small. I had a 5ft^3 box just for one 15, but that was Memphis's optimal ported box size. I don't have their recommended box specs anymore, but I think 6.7ft^3 will be fine.

I was researching online and came across the specs.

http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/tasks/sites/default/assets/File/Mid2008EnclosureRecommendations.pdf

It recommends a minimum of 6.0 for two in a ported box if I have my model number correct... They're 15-M3MOJO15Q, right?

Contacted Memphis...They were extremely nice and helpful, they gave me pictures, box specs, sub specs, and recommended amps that would make them go crazy. One of them being a kicker ZX2500.1, so I'm happy.

In the end they are 15-M3MOJO15Q 1000rms/2000peak.

Thanks for all your help!
