amp protection mode

hey all i have been running a Kenwood KAC-9104D for about 4 years and just the last month here it started to go into protection mode, i have tryed another sub same thing still goes in to protection mode. it will play for a few then just bam in to protection mode tho it will pop in and out of it once or twice and then it will stay on for a while.

if you have any advice or help thank you in advance

Check your ground To the amp

check grounds. and all connection points along anywhere on the power/ground wires that connect to the amp.

dont just look at them. make sure they're seated down tight.

make sure that there isnt a strand of wire bridging the + to - battery terminals on the amp itself.
