Toofast4u Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 I had 2 Sundown Z v.3s several months ago. I gained 1.5 in a week from fully breaking them in. However when I first metered them they were already used for several weeks but on much lower power levels. There's a chance I would have gained more had I metered em as soon as I got em. Quote

skyhighcaraudio Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 you do not always gain from breaking in a sub. there are many variables the effect the outcome of the gain or loss in some cases. but yes normally you will gain a bit after using them for a while. skyhighcaraudio Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 yes. in high hz burp vehicles when the spider packs are specifically built for that hz on that power in that car. yes you can see a loss after 2-4 burps. not significant but .4-.5 loss is possible. AmmoJammo Posted August 6, 2012 Author Report Posted August 6, 2012 my car has previously peaked at 39-40Hz.... the "new" subs are currently peaking at about 36Hz, in the same box as the old subs peaked at 39Hz... the new subs currently measure as having an FS of 42-44Hz, while the old ones were 34Hz...
