rmk818
Would putting in a capacitor help? The boat uses an alternator to charge two batteries (one for starting and the other for the radio)
severancej
No never buy a capacitor.they are worthless and they rob from your power supply. I suggest either running at 4 ohms for better efficiency or get some xs power batteries and try to upgrade your alternator... One ohm at 1000w is definitely straining your boats charging system. Maybe make sure your power and ground wires are big enough (at least 4 gauge) not just the wires to the amp either you want the engine grounds and the alternator charging wire to be 4 gauge also Edited August 13, 2012 by severancej Quote 98' dodge ram 140A alt Big 3 XS D2700 JVC kd-r310 Rockford T500-1BDCP 2 Sundown E12 Ported 4cubes 35hz Rockford P400-4 2 Infinity reference 3way 6x9 2 Polk DB 5 1/4 2x layer dynamat all doors
