99blazer Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 I have a 99 blazer and I have a ZXi80.4 powering my mids. I wanted to know how i could wire up a 6 speakers to it and keep it running good. Right now Im running infinity kappas upfront and 6x9 kappas in the very back. im wanting to add 2 more in the rear door and i was wonding how i would wire that. or even if it would be a good idea to just run bullet tweeters in my kicks with the other 6 speakers. Im open to any help on this one 08 Ford F150
Guest Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 infinity eww. arent those 2 ohm speakers? you could wire in series to raise the ohm load, but then each speaker would be getting like 30w or something.
SlamminSL1 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Run the amp at 2 channels bridged and wire the left doors in series so they are 8 ohms. Then bridge the rear 6x9 with the doors to see 6 ohms total. Do that for each side and you're set. This is assuming all the speakers are 4ohms. You need to clarify.
