J R
Anyone have experience with this amp or even this brand? A guy wants to trade me two of these in mint condition that are less than 6 months old, and a "deep cycle semi-truck battery"...for my 07 kicker zx2500.1. My subs are wired to 2 ohm but I figured I could wire the amps together at 2 or run 1 amp per sub at 1. Only if it's a good brand. Opinions? Thanks! EDIT: I'm reading that they use the same board as a SAZ 1500 Sundown amp. Still would like some more info if anyone has experience. ***2001 GMC 2500HD Regular Cab*** -Jensen 9312 Flip-Out -2 12 inch Pioneer Step-up Shallow Mounts -Kicker ZX750.1 for Lows -Pioneer 6.5 coax in the doors -Pioneer 4x6 coax in the pillars -Old School Alpine MRV-F250 for Mids/Highs ***1969 Camaro Z/28*** -500+ cubic inch 950hp BBC + 400-650 shot of Nitrous -Audio coming soon-
HunterJohnson
From what I have heard the RD D9 is like one of the best amps in it's class. As for the 1750.1 idk but if I had to assume it's like sundown/Skar 1500. Personally I'd keep the kicker, those 2500's are pretty beast Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
J R
It's the older kicker the grayish tan color from 2007. But if the kickers better then she's staying with me! ***2001 GMC 2500HD Regular Cab*** -Jensen 9312 Flip-Out -2 12 inch Pioneer Step-up Shallow Mounts -Kicker ZX750.1 for Lows -Pioneer 6.5 coax in the doors -Pioneer 4x6 coax in the pillars -Old School Alpine MRV-F250 for Mids/Highs ***1969 Camaro Z/28*** -500+ cubic inch 950hp BBC + 400-650 shot of Nitrous -Audio coming soon-
CJSmith
Go for the RD Audio. IMO, they're customer service sucks, but I have an RD D9, and it's a bulletproof amp. I'm running 2 AA Mayhem 18s in parallel with each coil at .7, and it runs like a champ. *Rebuid in progress*
J R
Everyone claims the 2500 doesn't mind 1 ohm and below but with good electrical it goes to protect anything under 2. Maybe I got the bad one of the batch. I may do the trade kinda waiting on the other guy. ***2001 GMC 2500HD Regular Cab*** -Jensen 9312 Flip-Out -2 12 inch Pioneer Step-up Shallow Mounts -Kicker ZX750.1 for Lows -Pioneer 6.5 coax in the doors -Pioneer 4x6 coax in the pillars -Old School Alpine MRV-F250 for Mids/Highs ***1969 Camaro Z/28*** -500+ cubic inch 950hp BBC + 400-650 shot of Nitrous -Audio coming soon-

Ditch the Kicker IMO, that 1750.1 will put out a good 2k RMS without even breaking a sweat. *Rebuid in progress*
HunterJohnson
Also what's wrong with running at 2ohms? More efficient and less stress on ur whole electrical Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
J R
Nothing at all I was just surprised it wouldn't. I have my subs ran at 2 ohm so I'd need to strap both of these subs and I don't think I have the electrical for it that's what making me second guess. I have enough for the kicker and that's about it. Even it is pushing it. ***2001 GMC 2500HD Regular Cab*** -Jensen 9312 Flip-Out -2 12 inch Pioneer Step-up Shallow Mounts -Kicker ZX750.1 for Lows -Pioneer 6.5 coax in the doors -Pioneer 4x6 coax in the pillars -Old School Alpine MRV-F250 for Mids/Highs ***1969 Camaro Z/28*** -500+ cubic inch 950hp BBC + 400-650 shot of Nitrous -Audio coming soon-
