KeithConnolly Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Has anybody else had problems trying to warranty out RE's products? The Sonic daily deal reminded me. I bought a RE audio 1600VX2 back at the beginning of the year to put in my nieces car. It was pushing a P2 DVC wired at 8 ohm bridged. I went 8 Ohm because of the dual 4 ohm voice coils and the rated specs would have way overpowered that little sub. After 2 months the amp just quit working. I figured she blew the sub turning it up and checked it with an Ohm meter it spec'd out at 7.6 Ohms resistance so I checked the RCA's it was still getting signal. Took amp out and put in a P200 everything worked great. I contacted the people I bought the amp from to inquire about warranty they sent me a response and forwarded my message along with an RMA request to RE. I never heard anything back. I have personally sent 5 emails stating what happened requesting an RMA but I haven't heard anything back the amps been out of sight out of mind but I want to get it fixed before warranty's up. I am NOT impressed with RE's stuff the P200 is outperforming the RE in every way and their customer service so far has been pretty pathetic!!
