Jcarp0331 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I have build a box for my 2-12" type r's after searching online for what has seemed to work best and going off calculations. My box is in a bagged 2 dr Tahoe and is 43.5 wide x 16 tall x 16 deep. This is with 3/4 mdf and is all the usable space I have. Subs firing up and port to the side. Each sub has their own space and measures roughly 20.5 wide x 14.5 tall x 14.5 deep. The port is 6" PVC 18.5" long and running into the box 17.75". From what I have it appears the box would have a 37 hz tune? Does the air space and port seem to be correct for the subs? I listen to all types of music and looking for loud bass I can feel and hear. Going for all around sound. I have a hifonics brutus 2400 that I will be running at 1 ohm. If my specs are off please let me know. I have no problem rebuilding if it will make a difference.
