wheres the flex at Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 How do you re-case a alternator? I read that I could buy a stronger alt then re case it to fit my truck. Is this true? And answers would be extremely helpful. I would rather buy a used 270 or 180 and switch in my my trucks case just because my stock 80a can keep up with my 1700rms amp :/ I've had multiple battery's but the alternator cant supply the power needed.
