STL.Don Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 I hope this doesn't get locked, but I am wanting help on tweeter decisions. I am getting 2 12" AA Chaos's with 2 Earthquake Sound PHD2000W's and I am going to upgrade my door and rear deck speakers hopefully in the near future, but I am pretty set on getting AudioPipe loudspeakers and getting titanium tweeters, this will keep cost down and help me get a pro system going for competitions. And I am not sure which tweeter would be good. I am looking at the Earthquake Sound BT44S (http://earthquakesound.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=350&category_id=176&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=82) and the AudioPipe ATX-3230 (http://www.audiopipe.com/products/tweeters/atx/atx-3230.html). I have heard good things about the AudioPipe, but I haven't heard anything about the Earthquake Sound one. The specs on both look about the same and the appearance is about the same. So does the difference not matter and I should just go with either one? Or is there a difference? If so what is it? I am getting stuff done at a shop that carries both and the shop owner said he hasn't heard the Earthquakes yet, but he said they are a little more so most people go for the cheaper ones. I would be using a set of 4" components from Earthquake Sound with a set of these tweeters, and the AudioPipe loudspeakers so either one doesn't matter to me about brand. I am just wanting to know if anyone has heard one or both and see what they think about them. Or if you have a suggestion of another one please include a link and reasoning behind it.
