Jman08's Trooper Build Complete With Vids

Recommended Posts

that looks pretty good have you got to play it in the bandpass enclosure yet?

Yes and it is decently loud for just one 12".

Took it up to my dealers shop and demo'ed it.

Some guy was talking smack about AudioPipes.

He was made because my dealer told him that his Power Bass PBX's were junk.

And the guy with the PBX's never heard Audiopipe's.

I took him out to the Bronco, played some chopped and Screwed K-Deezy and made a believer out of him.

It makes my roof flex about an 1-2in Peak to peak and my hair moves a bit.

Still not loud enough for me though.

My dealer said that the TXX's don't like bandpass enclosures but I don't think he knows what he is talking about.

True, that mine is not designed for the speaker but, damnit, it was free.

I have $25 in my pocket.

Should I go get some building supplies or should I get a Voltmeter and Battery terminal?

build that box man im sure you wont be dissapointed! How do you like that audiopipe amp?

We had one of the same amps I have, the 1500 R.M.S. mono, pushing 4 15's in pre-fab boxes.

When we had those hooked up my vision was slightly blurry.

According to a db chart I have that is about 145db. More like 143 but not bad.

I'm trying to decide whether I want to build the ported tuned to 37hz or build the T-Line.

Opinions?

When are you getting your baby metered?

I saw you talking about it in amatt85's thread.

Hopefully the 22nd or the 23rd at a comp by meca.

I need to work on changing my fusing though real soon...man i hate the fusing rules!

Jman...the power you're giving those subs at the moment could go to just one of them daily. Mine sees 1200 watts rms daily. It will tear apart before it burns...trust me

Ap's are known for taking more than their R.M.S.

It's the aluminum cone.

Big-ass heatsink.

I played a sweep, 16hz-1hz and back up for 10 mins, a solid 20hz below tuning of my box.

Felt the coil it was warm to the touch but not hot enough I couldn't hold my finger there.

I gave it literally 13secs and the coil was room temp again.
