mybrohshi5
I took my cover off of my old RF T1000-1BD (the fan cooled one) because it was rattling pretty bad from my subs. I am going to use a little foam to try to reduce the rattling. Anyways I found one of the two resistors was blown (RCD K6-481, 5W 3K J). I have 2 RF p3's wired at 2 ohms hooked up to this amp. The amp still works fine but I'm assuming I should replace the resistor. I found one that I can pickup from radio shack but its 3.3k instead of 3k. Will this be okay? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12554555 If the one from radio shack will not work, I found one on ebay. Will this one work okay? http://www.ebay.com/...=item20cd490da6 I have never took out or installed a new resistor. Do i just break off the old one? It feels like the bottom of the resistor is soldered to the circuit board. Then to install the new one is is as easy as just soldering it into place? Thanks for any help! mybrohshi5
Well radio shack didn't have any at my local store so I guess that answers my question about the 3.3k resistor. I ordered the exact same ones off ebay that should be here next week. As long as it is as simple as soldering it back on I should be good to go! Comments/tips are welcome. Thanks!
