I would say over a year or more since I've even messed with any speakers. I just finished graduating college and waiting to leave for the ARMY in about two months. This little project was just something I decided to do in order to pass some time and try and get into some audio again. I'm about to get my hands one some thick acrylic that will allow me to redo this project with some better matterial that I wasn't able to afford I'm also going to have some led's wired up inside the box that will blink to the music. I'm trying to figure out how to wire more than 50 to 100 leds. If anyone has a good site or source I can go to and read please post it. Also if there is any general advice anyone has for me please feel free to tell me. This little project isnt finished yet. This is probably only half way done right now. Parts: 1. 12VDC 2A switching power supply 2. 2x15w @4ohms TA2024 class d amp board. (SURE electronics) 3. HiWave HIBM65c20F 3 1/2'' full range speaker 8ohms 4. RCA cables 5. acrylic sheets x4. I believe it was .008'' thickness from lows $2 sheet. 6. screws/ braces 2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs 1 3500d AQ amp 146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
