Achaleon Posted April 14, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 14, 2013 After having zero motivation to mess with car audio I decided it was a good time to replace my intake gasket which required me to remove the whole top half of my motor. You can tell which cylinders were leaking from the pictures. Cleaned everything up and put it back together, Let it idle for awhile no leaks.. Went for a little drive and started to smell fuel, pulled over. 3 of the 8 injectors were leaking where they go into the plenum. Stopped at the auto parts store and got all new O-rings and tore it all down again to replace them. Was my own stupidity, I even thought to myself 'i should replace the o-rings while I have it apart" Oh well. After all of that I ended up working on my radio install. I half ass installed it over the winter and have been trying to make time to finish it ever since. Dont have many pictures but here is the progress so far. Getting that far was a PITA. Involved cutting away a ton of bracing at awkward angles with almost no room to work with. But I am extremely happy with how its shaping up and will hopefully get it finished up tomorrow. All thats left to do is figure out a way to mount it and then make it all good. Im open to ideas on covering it up/making a trim piece? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
