brandon9491 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 my audiopipe 1300 mini amp would stop working until i restarted my truck, but it would take longer and longer before my amp would turn on. i changed my ground to a stud and i sanded the paint off. i checked the fuses and none are busted and power is flowing through the wires. i havent checked the remote wire yet. any suggestions? ive got a 2004 chevy silverado with bose and big 3 stock bat and stock alt
Guest Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 check the remote wire first off. make sure you're getting at least 12v on it when checked with a multimeter and the head unit on. same with the power wire. you can put the ground lead for both tests on the amp ground terminal.

Guest Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 i'd check to see why the fuse blew in the first place. that means something went wrong. if the fuse blows again, that will be a dead giveaway of something being wrong.
brandon9491 Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 im running a 100 amp fuse compared to 80 that came with the amp. just until i can get another 80 amp fuse though. any ideas of what i should check? i went around my neighborhood bumpin and the amp stayed on no problems. ill make sure to keep an eye out for anything unusual
Guest Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 first off, i'd recommend you not play loud music in neighborhood areas. it gives real bass heads a bad name because you're disturbing the peace. check for loose power/ground connections. at the lugs, fuse holder, etc. if it wiggles, redo it. the manual doesn't even state what size fuse you should use, which is fucking stupid. so you cant find out what it actually needs unless you contact the company. it may have just been too small a fuse, but again nobody knows.
brandon9491 Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 ive got 2 10's in .6/box sealed under my seats so its not like im making much noise. they sent me a 80 amp fuse/ fuse holder audio pipe brand so i would think that would be the right size but ill send them an email and see for sure. but yea, ill check out my connections.

Azzazel_99 Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 i would not run the bose speakers on the kicker amp. I like to run new wires to all the doors and put in new speakers and then slap on the 4 channel. Just my .02
