Smokey619 Posted March 14, 2013 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 Well I'm getting ready to set up my Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD But I'm running into a problem with my harness. My harness Metra 70-1721 has 2 orange cables, 1 solid orange Illumination/Dash Light and 1 orange with white stripe, Dimmer. My power harness from the head unit has a orange with white stripe. Should I connect stripe with stripe because I have heard that If you connect the wrong cables of illumination dimmer that you can blow the gauge light computer. I have a Honda Ridgeline and just want to be sure so it doesn't cost me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Cboeger Posted March 14, 2013 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 As long as you have the right wiring harness, wire up the same matching colors, unless told otherwise by your wiring harness instructions/head unit installation instructions.
