ilikebassandstuff Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 I have a 2007 dodge ram mega cab that I recently built a center console in. The doors are being fully built and as a result the switches are being moved to the center console. The window switches were easy to figure out. I’m just using some DPDT switches to swap polarity for up and down. I can’t however figure out how the door lock actuators work though. I’ve seen some things online about it being a single wire lead and using different size resistors to toggle lock/unlock. I belive the wire is a purple/dark green that is the trigger wire which i have found but now I dont know what to do with it. Not sure how to make this work, I’m sure some of you have done this before. I need some guidance in the right direction. I will add that I am not going to extend the wires and use the factory switches. The switch is a huge single unit and will not look proper in my console. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
