I have a 2001 mustang with two 10" Rockford fosgate P2 on a mbquart fx600.1. I'm looking forward to a rebuild and could really use y'all's help. I have a limited income but its pretty much going all into my car since I'm a student. Thanks for any help and I'm going to post pics soon.
Mikesmith0890 Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 With the size of the trunk and the small opening it's a PITA to do anything. I have a 97, trunk is the same. My first piece of advice is if you have the mach 460 stereo, get rid of it, run you own wires and get a 4 channel amp with decent speakers. Night and day difference in sound quality. AlphaDamp Sound Deadening CDL Mat - The best Vibration Damper Ever! I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England. Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

I have 4 crescendo PWXs on the way so I'm getting rid of the factory door speakers and rears. I plan on flashing my doors as soon as they get here. It's also gonna be my first time to glass .
Mikesmith0890 Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I have no rear fill in mine. I run DD tweeters up front in the stock location and American Bass 6.5 PA mids. They work well together and sound pretty good after being time aligned and eq'd. 4 channel amp is an mb quart onx4.125, great powerful budget 4 channel amp, no complaints here. I have another set of the AB mids, plan was to glass the doors, but I never got around to it and don't know if I will since I am looking to get rid of the ol' stang. I've got a Hifonics BRX 1600.1D and on the way is another Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 I also have 25' of audio technix 10ga speaker wire on the way The only thing I need is a box design, could anyone help me out on one the could fit in my trunk or give me instructions on how to get it in and where to cut in order to put it in.
