Ill be upgrading to a sq 3500.1 and the largest one they make for my vehicle (01 pontiac sunfire) is a 160amp. Its a great price at $225, but this is only about 50 more amps than I have as my stock alt now. Mechman, dc, singer all would be on or about $500 for a 220-270amp. So my questions are 1. Anyone know another model whos alt would fit directly into the sunfire in the small chance knu makes a larger one for it and 2. What size do I really need with 2 xs 3100s as a bank? There will also be a kx650.4 going in to push my components and 6x9s. Thanks.
