itzgavin
Hey guys my friend has a single 12" alpine type r the newest model and we were driving to school the other day and it just turned off randomly today he was looking at it and trying to fix it and the Kenwood KAC-9105 D mono power amp 1800 watt. he had called best buy to get their opinion on it and they just told him to remove the ground for 5 mins and put it back in and it should stop. Last time i worked on systems the protection light would never turn off for just removing the ground for 5 mins. Addition to that he had told me that the sub makes a very very quite poping sound every 3 seconds average. When my amp went into protection at once my subs never made a sound so me and him are clueless any help guys? please and thanks!

Pauly1987
Ohm load the amp is safe at? Is the sub a dual 2 or 4? What kind of ground? Bolted and shaven grounds? Power wire gage and fusing used? All that info is needed
