bassinyerface Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 I assumed square braces. 2003 f150, 2 ab hd 15 on brutus 2400.1, kinetik batt, big 3, knu wire, image dynamics cxs 6.5 with ppi tweets, pioneer 1din and clarion eq.
psychoacoustics Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 Use s box calc to calc the volume of the braces then subtract that from the total volume of ur enclosure Not a suitable answer. You know of a box calculator that will tell you how much air a 1" dowel displaces? Or 3 runs of all thread? I'm not familiar with one that does that. If you're using square bracing, volume of that 3D shape can be determined by aXbXc (length time width times depth). A cylinder is Pi times radius squared times height. For example, a 16" dowel that is 2 inches in diameter is 1" in radius. So we multiply pi, 3.14 times 1 squared, which is 1 and then by the height which is that 16" 50.24. That dimension is still in inches so we need to convert to a volume we can use which is cubic feet. We divide 50.24 by 1728( which is 12X12X12) and we get .029 cubic feet of displacement. So as you can see, bracing does not take up that much displacement. If you use threaded rod, it's even less displacement bass box will calculate a dowel 1" diameter it offers any regular shape and asks for dimensions and does math pretty simple actually..... actually you can do that math by hand as i can see youve done
