[DEH-80PRS] 3-way Crossover @HU to 4ch Amp?

Recommended Posts

Car - 2012 Mazda 3 HB

Equipment

HU - Pioneer DEH-80PRS

Front - DLS UP6i

Amp - JL xd400/4 (previous install)

Sub - 12W02 (previous install)

So my question is.. how should this equipment be set up?

I need to power both the components and the sub with the 4ch amp, so 2 channels need to be bridged and the other 2 will then be L/R components correct? Meaning.. I can't do M/H crossover from the head-unit? So, I need to settle for 2-way (mids/highs + Lows) and use the crossover boxes to split the mids and highs. =( Am I right? (hoping I'm wrong) are the crossover boxes going to be sufficient?

how big of an improvement would I see by throwing a mono amp to power the sub? I'm at the edge of my budget already, so i'd prefer to stick with the equipment I have, but If I could find a mono amp for cheap that would have significant impact on sq i'd consider it.

Finally, How'd I do? does this config look good to you people that know things?

Thanks,I'll post pics and record some audio once installed if people are interested.

I'm super excited and can't wait to hear it.
