fast2gg
the only information I've been able to find on this amp is it can do 190x2 RMS. (Not sure if this is the real specs or "manufacturer's specs") these are the parts I'm working with: Vehicle - 2012 Mazda3 HU - Pioneer DEH-80PRS[ Front - DLS UP6i Mids rated for 150RMS, Tweeters 50RMS Amp - JL xd400/4 Sub - JL 12W02 75-300RMS I'm trying to choose between 3 possible setups: 1. Not using PA Amp 2-way split at the headunit (Lows + Mids/Highs) ---> JL XD400 4 channel amp ch1+2 @ 75RMS = mids/highs ch3+4 @ 200RMS (bridged) = sub 2. Using PA Amp - components at 200rms 2-way split at headunit (lows + Mids)----> JL XD400 4 channel amp ch1/2+3/4 @200RMS = mids/highs PA HK800 2channel amp ch1+2 @ 380(bridged) = sub 3. Using PA Amp - components at 75rms 3-way split at headunit (lows + Mids + Highs)----> JL XD400 4 channel amp ch1+2 @75RMS = highs ch3+4 @75RMS = mids PA HK800 2channel amp ch1+2 @ 380(bridged) = sub I'm a giant newb with this stuff, so forgive me if there's missing information. My biggest concern is not damaging the speakers, followed by achieving the best sound quality. I don't really want to spend any more money, so if one or more of these 3 scenarios 'works' and isn't going to cause clipping or distortion, I'm content. Thoughts?
