95neon_thumper82 Posted June 10, 2013 Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 Recently came up on the purchase of two ten inch 4 ohm mtx thunder 7000 with an rms of 400 a piece. I am running these off a bridged amp rated at 800 at two ohms and I'm running two ohms cold with out box rise and all that. I'd love to build a box for these things. I'm hoping ported with a large internal volume and a smallish port. to keep it tight enough for good rock music some punk and music along these lines but still on the boomy side for rap and hip hop and all that. so my question. how much of box building is dictated by sub woofer specs.... and how much is dictated by acoustics and "personal taste"? <img src=http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w610/beastly666bassboy/IMG_9611192581855_zps9b9b76be.jpg border=0 alt= height="75" width="800"> Growing old is necessary... growing up is an option!
