Our most recent car as u can c is a 97 Saab 900SE Turbo, and the stock system just sucked booty..wasn't gonna cut it....the stock speakers were falling apart with no more surround left..another thing, we r trying to make this car as budgety a budget build gets haha, but of course that would actually still sound pretty decent. so first thing I did was replace them with hand me downs from my Suburban, which had Alpine SPS-610C's. and if u guys have seen my Burban build u might know that I blew all the tweeters on the 3 sets of them I had for INSANELY over powering them, so all I have left r the mids. That was all I could install. Made it sound quite a bit better! Then next step was the head unit. I have been looking for one for quite a few months and finally found the right one for the right price! I found this Pioneer AVH-P1500DVD at Best Buy open item, no problems and nothing missing! Just the box was ripped, got it for $185!, which is a double din, and in this car seems like u can put a double din in it but actually the din is a 1.75 din, it's REAAAAAALLLYYYY CLOSE to fitting but after a few cuts and sanding here and there, fits like a charm!! Also once I installed HU I ran the RCA'S I found in my wires cabinet, and a remote wire all to the trunk, and planning to hook up my old Alpine MRP-F300 to the Alpine Mids. Should sound pretty good! And I know u guys might wondering what I'm gonna do for my sub stage, well that my friends is gonna b a Sundown SA-8 V.1 that I have laying around in my garage all the time to show off to people awesome little bastard sub! Haha. Any who this is the progress I got down!
