CrazyD
So, lets start from the beginning. This is how the van looked like when i bought it for 1700$ I bought this to have a nice transportation and for the possibility to sleep in it when im off workingwith filming dragracing in Sweden. But as you all know, driving a car with stock radiosystem is no fun...So...Last year it was time to start building a better system. And I am still building on it.There is something to to change and modify everywhere. The setup was to use as few bucks as possible, but to get the most out of it.Woofers and amps and most of the components was bought late in 2006,but was still in their boxes. So it was like Christmas when i opened it. And since all my problems in car audio disappeared after I started using Rockford Fosgate in -99,there was no reason for me to use something else. This is whats in the car right now:HU: Pioneer DEH-P8600MPFront system: RF Power T162S 6.5" KitRear doors: Infinity Marine 6.5" Coax (I'm gonna change these to RF Power 6.5" Coax) 1 RF Punch 2002 for the front system2 1F RF Power Capacitors2 RF Power 3002 Amps2 RF Power T112D4JVC DVD/CD in back22" wide tv in back.7" Pioneer monitor in front with a Pioneer VDP1 to it.8" Pioneer monitor in back between woofers First i got my boxes that was sopposed to be in my other car.And the build of the boxes u got here. When the port was fitted i hated the looks of it.So i got an idea. Yeah! The trim for the RF Power 6½" mid fitted on the 4" port. This is how it looks ready. Then i tried this position in the van,but it looked terrible... Time to unwrap the amps and caps and try something else.....So...If i turn the woofers around and put it all something like this.... CrazyD
In the middle of all, i got a new touchscreen for my Pioneer VDP1.With this I can easier see voltage and rpm from outside my car when i give demos. It is also connected to the later on mounted dvd in the rear. Now it's time to go back to the build in the back again. First i layed out a board for the amps. Then I copied the end of the boxes so i will get a tight fit. After some cutting the fitted just perfectly. Testing the placement again. The amps is getting on place. The 8" Pioneer is also getting in.Fitted perfectly between the boxes. Cutting out som holes for air to amp and for the fitment of the caps. The mounts are coming to place. I tilted the monts for the caps to get a better angle. Time to fit it all again and make more pieces for the cover.
CrazyD
Time to make smaller wierd thingys. Yea, it's the end pieces for the caps. Added som headpieces for the caps. After fitting all the pieces to the bottom, I rounded it all to get smooth rounded edges. And then I tilted the boxes back to give room for the next step. It's now time to put on some stretch material. Now i'ts starting to look real nice. One more testfit before it is time to put resin over it. (I guess you call it Resin what I call Polyester? ) Time to take out the big one. Time to make a fiberglasscover. I made a small video of it.I will post a new one later without the Swedish text in it.....
