saintsfan Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 hey guys, i currently have a yukon with 2 jl audio 13w6 woofers powered off a ppi pcx2400 for bass & my mids-tweets running off a ppi pcx480. i have had this setup since 2007 and really like it. my worry is what to do when these amps go out due to age? are there any other amps still being made with the sound quality that these beasts have. i tried to run a 1500 watt ppi class d bass amp a few years back & it sucked compared to the pcx2400. any sugestions???
rebel Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 if they break fix them i`am using a pair of old school hifonics the oldest made 89, the only thing that get old is the caps, my amps still running strong but i`am not sure what the lifespan of a capacitor is but ther is no problem to replace them, and they are cheap,if you got patience and a soldering pen you can fixit yourself
