JustinWillmon
I figured I'd have a better chance getting answers here. I have a 8" rf p3 shallow in each kick. I was reading Steve's post on his Lexus and he said he got advice to treat them more as subs than as midbass. So should I set the crossover low, like a sub? Or should I cross them over in the midbass range?
Colin - STAPUFT
The quick answer is: as low as possible. What is the F3 on the speakers and what enclosure? If just "sealed" in the kicks, with that tight a space, I would figure you really wouldn't have to worry too much about a high pass to protect them. I would high pass a bit above the F3 and low pass at or below the high end on the specs of the speaker. Tweak it from there to make it sound to your liking. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain.
