inferno1985 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 iv been looking at this SPL Gorilla 6000d but im not sure its a good brand or not. iv been using hifonics, witch is great! but the SPL amp would greatly increse my wattage for the same price. Hifonics or SPL? you need to see the specs on both amps and compare. imo hifonics have pretty decent amps the amp i have now if a hifonics and this is the first one ive owned and its doing what i want it to do. ive never heard of spl amps it might give you a better "rated" rms than your hifonics amp but the efficiency of that spl amp might be worse than your hifonics, which pretty much wont make it better than your hifi. there is more to look at when choosing amps. not just the rms rating at 1 ohm comparison .
