Aj11 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 so do a 5ft cubic box? i really really don't want to go lower than 2.5 a piece. i had a atrend 3cubic gross 2.5net with one of my type rs on one of my amps and loved it except the tune was to high. it was 43hz. so i know my subs handle that just fine. so the popular consent is 5cubic feet then? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Guest Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 i doubt each woofer was seeing 500 watts from your amps. proper tuning and proper port area go a long way. so does box space, of course. shitty tuning and shitty port area, even with the correct box space, will yield bad/okay results. edit: 2.5 cubes should be perfectly fine, from what i've heard from veteran members a while ago regarding this woofer. but 3.5 cubes is absolutely absurd.
Aj11 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 why dont you think they were getting the full 500w? i set it with a multi meter to the exact volts and my alternator is more then enough to do it. each sub Is at 2ohm. do you mean the box wasn't allowing them to. cuz iknow my amps are good they cost me $650 each 3years ago jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
