LoudBimmer
Are there any issues I can run into if I add additional idler pulley to get a better belt wrap? I tried adding a pulley past weekend, which increased alternator pulley belt wrap a lot, and also increased power street pulley wrap too. I went to autozone and got a longer belt, which fitted perfectly. BUT, when I tried to start the car, it started really rough, stay on for few seconds and turned off. And the batteries resting voltage went down to 12.5 instead of 12.8 like it always was. So I pulled the additional pulley out and put the original belt back in and tried to start the car again, but it would only turn on for few seconds and turn off and battery light would come on. So I put the battery on charger for 10-15min. After that the car started normally and the resting voltage is back to 12.8. I also left the battery on charger overnight and everything works fine now. P.S. Voltage is according to SMD VM-1 volt meter.
LoudBimmer
bump adding additional pulley will not add too much load on engine right?
