trisdog74 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 I dont know many watts till you need a second battery. I have a 1999 regal and it has a factory amp installed already looking to put something strong in the trunk. Where I live it gets cold and im worried about starting problems in the morning too
SQ SUBARU Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Before you even think about a second battery, look at upgrading your existing one under the hood. If you have a too smaller or the same sized one from the factory then it will likely be inadequate for aftermarket audio systems. What gear are you running, and how many watts etc, also your music habits such as how loud etc will help. But in short before you need a second battery upgrade the existing one, and maybe a new alt.
