i saw a video that had a dvc woofer in it and the guy ran each coil seperately to the outputs of the amp. i currently have a RE Audio se-x10d4. im looking at getting a 1200w mono block hifonics amp to run it. i know i can keep it wired the way it is in parallel and have the 2-ohm load. would that be more efficient than running each coil to the amp seperately? or would that be just as effecient as getting the dual 2-ohm woofer running each coil seperately from the amp? any and all feedback is appreciated!

dual 2 ohm = 1 or 4 ohms

dual 4 ohm = 2 or 8 ohms

if your only ever going to have one sub and not EVER thinking of getting a second get the dual 2 ohm and but a MONO amp that pushes 600w rms at 1 ohm

if you might get a second one down the road get an amp that can push 1200w rms at 1 ohm and 600 at 2ohms so it will work now and later. or buy a second mono amp

I recommend running them through one output because if both coils do not move perfectly at the same rate you will wreck your sub

Subs= SoundQubed HDC3.112 Amps= Audio Technix1200.1, Sony XM4x40 & Clarion XC1410 Rear= Pioneer 6"x9" coaxial Front= Polk 6 1/4 componants Trunk Lid= Pioneer 6 1/4 coaxil Battery= Optima Yellow-top (front) Shrunken 35AH Wire= 0/2 AWG welding Cable! Alternator= 125amps Extra= Continuous duty solenoid

i think the video i looked at was one of steve meades. he was hooking up 2 re audio mt 18s in his sons civic. he said something about having one amp per coil but i think he already had them wired the way i was wondering about. thanks for your input

dual voice coil to a monoblock with two sets of speaker terminals. doesn't matter if you wire the woofer in parallel, then run two speaker wires to the amp. or if you run each coil to the speaker terminals (four wires). same exact thing.
