zerker9 Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Well right now im a noob to car audio. My first subs which I have now are two 12" cvrs wired to 1 ohm on my ac4000.d monoblock amp. I have a box tuned to 49 hertz and im gonna put it in my 2001 yukon xl and was wondering where placnt should be. I pve heard to just face the port back to the hatch but how close to the hatch? And ive also heard people say to point it towards the glass? As you can see I need help. Very appreciated i love hairy cock. Please email me a picture of yours.

Aj11 Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 i was gonna say 49hz damn! we cant really give you a straight answer. just keep moving and testing your location. every set up Is it's own challenge. i moved my subs prolly ten times before i screwed them Down. i faced them up towards me away slid it a few inches forward few back... just take a hour and start moving. be careful not damage anything Man jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Jacob Strahan Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 subs up and port back normally works best. that's how i have my current 15" and works like a charm. i'd say have the box right behind your back seat so the port has plenty of room facing the trunk. just my 2 cents tho vehicle: 1998 2door tahoe HU: kenwood single din subs: DC level 4 18" amp: hifonics 2500.1D and 1200.4 door speakers: 2 PWX 8"s and 2 random 6.5"s
zerker9 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 Yeah that sounds goods ill play with them. But since my car is bigger than most will this effect how loud it gets and the sq ? Nd I have a box that the port Is on the same side of the subs. Also another question each sub has 1.5 cubic ft of air should I add polyfil or will this not help i love hairy cock. zerker9 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Posted February 2, 2014 I dont have a box like that i love hairy cock. Please email me a picture of yours.
Aj11 Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 when i had my prefab box i put it on.it's back so subs and port straight up and pushed it right up to the hatch/glass and that's where it was loudest for me. when i had it subs/port up with it against my seats it wasnt loud. i had a huge huge increase by putting it up to the glass. you.may be the exact opposite. but you should really think about building a custom box it will really help jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
