Jt Bradshaw Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Hey everyone. Im really confused about something and figured this is the best place to ask. The problem is that my 12 volt turn on wire coming from my car is only giving enough power to turn my head unit on part way. It will only show the theft deterrent light when the face plate is taken off. But if I hook the head units 12volt constant and turn on wire to the 12 volt constant of my car it works just fine. So what should I do?

funnyent Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 That sounds strange. But if it works with the 12v constant hook up a relay from that to the switched power to turn on the system. A relay is like an on/off switch and the switched power will act as the trigger. Any automotive store or amazon sells them.
