i'm ready to get 2 sundown x12s and 3 amps, and a kinetik battery with a capacitor. I have a 1999 ford escort se, does this sound like a good idea ?

ditch the cap and get another battery. also, what amps, are you building/designing the box?

im thinking rockford fosgate, something with 1200 rms for the subs and a small rockford fosgate for my highs

rather than getting two sub amps why not go with a good 3k to run them, it's usually cheaper and easier in the long run. To power those subs properly you will likely need a HO alt along with a couple good batts.

CARS

14 Sierra crew cab daily, Small build coming one of these days

69 C-10 fleetside in many pieces, won't be done till the end of time

high output alternator, puts out more amps than stock. You may have to search around for someone that makes one. Check with http://mechman.com/ if they don't have your car listed on the site they may still have it just give them a call. There is also DCpower and a couple others. You might want to do a lot more research before you start buying equipment so you know for sure what you want.
