whatusay45
Where should I set my filters and crossover on both amps.? I have a sundown x15 in a 4 cu ft box at 30hz and I have 4 crecesendo pwx 6 inch mid bass. Ideally I want midbass in the back and highs in the front just don't know how to do that
Mike Gibbens Matthew
EDIT: What amps are you using and how are they set up? Ohm loads? I will try and find the amps and get you some setting to start with. That is going to be hard for anyone to answer. I am not a pro by any means so if someone can correct me if I am wrong. Because of the resonant frequency of all cars being different inside, you will have peaks at different tones than other people. Your crossover and filter setting should be set for your own personal preference. I listen to all kinds of music so I shoot for a "flat" response all the way through. My wife likes a lot of rap and R&B so she like the low bass tones to be louder than the punchy ones. I usually use a few starting points when I tune my system by ear. I like my Low pass for my subs to start dropping off around 80Hz and I like my High pass for my mids set to start picking up around 100Hz. From there I adjust each as I hear things that I want to be softened or things that need to be brightened. Anyone else have some input? Im always up to learn and have a discussion!! 07 KIA Spectra 320a Singer Alt Odyssey Extreme batteries 2 12" Phantom sounds (4.6 cu. net @ 32) - soon to be 2 Atomic ELE 2 Rockford Fosgate T2500bd-CP Zapco Z150.2 Front comps soon to be Hertz HSK Pioneer 80prs Second skin deadener throughout
