Beyma Frequency and gain

I currently have a pair of Beyma 8PROMI connected to a Lanzar OPTI 4 channel 2000 watts. I'm trying to set the gains properly with a multimeter and a 1khz track. I know the max volume that I can use on my head unit. The 8 PROMI is rated at 200 watts RMS and 400 peak . To determine the max AC volts that I can use, should I calculate it with the 200 rms x 4 ohms or the 400 peak watts x 4ohms and then find the square root of course. The speakers are connected 1 to each channel stereo mode, I currently have the crossover on the amp set to hi pass and frequency at the max which is 750 hz I also have a Clarion EQS746, Im having a hard time getting it to sound right, I'm thinking I might need a 3 way crossover. The frequency range according to specs is 150hz-7000hz. I've always been told in the pass to avoid low frequency on Beymas. I was retired from the music game for like 5 years and need help.

• Minimum lower cutoff frequency (High Pass): 200Hz
• Maximum upper cutoff frequency (Low Pass): 4-5 kHz

Do not put sub bass or full pass into those Beymas, they hate it.

Thanks for info. Now on to the next thing, how would I set the frequency to those levels on a Clarion EQS746.

Set the amp's high pass to 200hz, not 750.

Shouldn't need the EQ but to fine tune after you have your amp crossover set.

Thanks so much, the beyma's sound much better, I'm installing 2 10 inch EV's tomorrow what frequency should I use on those

I have added a pair of EV 10Dlx, I've also set them to 200 or so hz. I added selenium tweeters hooked them in parallel with one beyma to an independent channel with a 4.7 uf capacitor the quality of my music is sounding great.

Very nice. Set the tens to 100hz though, it should sound even better.
