Been stalking the site for a while, finally decided to join and become legit. I've been involved in car modification since around 1994. Experimenting with different things, believe it or not, wired a HOUSE SPEAKER into my Oldsmobile back in 1993, sparking my lust for car audio. (Yes, I said a house speaker. Tower with horns & 2 full range and one sub in bottom.) man was I uninformed!! Fast track 10 yrs I was finally accomplishing big things on all areas of car modifying. I had two cars constantly on the go, One was speed, and one was sound. My speed car, was a little turbo honda civic SiR, 450 HP, 1/4 mile time of 11.2 due to traction issues. (Potential for a lot better) And my sound car was a pontiac sunfire. My last compitition I entered I hit 158.4 DB's, which I was really proud of. This was measured on dash both doors closed. I ran all RF equip., I can't recall all the items, long ago, but do remember I ran 2- Power DvC 15's, cpl sets of fanatics in the doors and amped all RF. Everything RF, and multiple quasi sponsorships. I had an interchangeable port in my wall, one for comps (large opening) and one for cruisin (smaller port). It was mainly a SPL vehicle, and back in 'the day' there wasn't much along the lines of 'tuning' anyways..... Some serious SQ cars invested in high end gear for tuning but wasn't an 'issue' for most competitors. My civic speed mods: Short Block - 1mm Overbore, JE Pistons, Eagle Rods, Race Engineering Block Guard (machined), genuine Honda bearrings and gaskets Headwork - Port, polish, flowbench, and a competition valve grind Turbo - Precision Ball Bearring SCGT3261 with a 56 trim compressor and a 84 trim turbine wheel Oil Lines - Goodridge Manifold - Drag Gen 3 Cast Iron Downpipe - Custom 2.5" mandrel bent Dumptube - Mandrel bent Heat Wrap Intercooler - Spearco bar and plate Intake & Piping - Mandrel bent chromed. K&N Filter Hose / Fittings / Clamps - High temp BOV - Greddy Type S Wastegate - Tial 38mm MAP Sensor - GM 3 Bar MAP Engine Management - Hondata S200 with boost option ECU - P28 Chipped ECU and harness Plug wires - MSD Magnacore Injectors - RC Engineering 550cc Fuel Rail - AEM Fuel Pump - 255LPH Walbro Fuel Pressure Regulator - AEM Fuel Filter - AEM Fuel Pressure Guage - AEM/VDO Motor Mounts - Energy - Urethane Clutch - ACT Stage II Flywheel - JDM ITR Springs - Eibach Pro Kit Axel Assembly - Honda - New Guages Autometer - Carbon Series - Boost, A/F, Oil, Temp. Guage Pod Shifter - B&M short shifter Shifter Bushing Kit - Hurst Exhaust - Tanabe Hyper Madallion Catco High Flow Cat - Test Pipe with flex section Wheels / Tires - Stocker wheels, newer rubber Boost Controller - AR Fabrication Power Pulleys - AEM Slim Fan - FAL Alarm System - Clifford Shift Knob - ITR Note: this has been professionally street/strip tuned for 94 oct. gas. I use a combo of 91 and Toluene. Works great. Its also at a very conservative 12 lbs of boost, with room for SOOOOO much more Fast forward another 10 years to now. I sold both, am driving a 2012 dodge minivan, have a wife & 3 children. But recently purchased a 2006 Volvo wagon.... My attempt to get back into the stereo world I have grown distant from. Amazing how things have changed!!! I'm planning on a complete tear down & interior build for the Volvo. Always loved RF through out my life, and will continue to show my support. Being a wagon, the possibilities are endless! Can't wait! SOOOO.... That's me in a nutshell, love what I have seen on the forum, and have been following a lot of you guys as a guest, some amazing builds & ideas & knowledge out there!! Rufwon Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 I now remember I had RF - bd1000's for the subs & some punch power 200.2's for the separates in the doors and dash. The end caps were gold, which matched perfectly to the gold color of my sunfire! Haha I also found recently in my basement storage some older stuff I still have. Some 10'" RF subs never used, a head unit brand new still. I even found this archive RF amp, it's completely all chrome. It was a monster little amp, 800a4, never pushed power through it.
