Wall Design Advice

Recommended Posts

I drive a 2002 ford ranger extended cab. My wall is roughly 7.5 cubic feet after port displacement and bracing. It is tuned to 33hz and will be used for daily driving listening to chopped and screwed. I will be using a 2400rms (cea compliant) alpine mrx amp. My question is, will it be better to do 1 psi platform 3 18 being it is on the higher end of the airspace recommended by psi or two custom psi platform 2 15s (1200rms each). By custom all i mean is have them soften the suspension to reach the full xmax at 1200rms. But the 15s will be on the small side of the airspace spectrum which in my mind would kill off some of the low bass potential. But if there is more surface area i am not sure if that would make it louder, make it about equal, or just still be quieter than the 1 18 idea. What do you guys think?
