Box design for 2 Rockford T1D4 12s

Hey all, looking to get opinions on if i'm designing this box right. Going in a sedan, i can only fold down the middle of the back seat and use a small-ish hole into the cabin, and thought maybe having the port where it is would help get more sound through into the cabin?

Also, I designed this box with Rockford's "High Output" size in mind.. will this still sound decent on music, or should I go smaller? (mostly trap/hip-hop/decaf)

Box Dimensions (external, 3/4" MDF):
32"W x 15"H x 24"D

Port Dimensions:
13.5"H x 20"D, tuned to ~29/30Hz after disp.

Volumes:
Gross volume - 5.36ft³
Port volume - 0.54ft³
Driver disp. - 0.212ft³
Net volume - ~4.6ft³

how much power u going to run? I currently have the same subs but after port and woofer displacement my box is right at 3.75cuft running off a rockford t1500bdcp. As I remember the subs requires 3.5cuft for a pair

Just make sure you not load straight into the port. And with that design you might cause cancellation too. Or you could try put the port on 1 side (3 common walls) so you have a little extra clearance from the port. Also your port area per cube is around 8 sq inches per cube, and the general rule for slots is 12-16 sq inches. I came with something like this.

Just make sure you use 45s inside to help the air flow. Didn't have time to draw them

I'll be running 600wRMS each to start until I can afford something like a 1500bdcp to replace my current two amps I think from the manual it was 3.5cuft for the smaller box and 4.5cuft for the bigger? I'm looking for more loud, but I certainly wouldn't mind losing some loud for more quality..

(Great thing about living in Australia - a 1500bdcp will cost well over $1k)

Oh wow, that looks awesome. My only concern with a design like that is the physical size, I unfortnately can't go wider than 32" or taller than 15", but more depth is an option if needed... By "port on one side", do you mean a classic L-shape slot ported box? Looks like i'll be mucking around with more designs tomorrow

I ended up selling my t1500bdcp but I had them on my incriminator 40.1(3600watts) and they handled it if u dont get too crazy with the bass knob lol. Good luck with your build!

So I threw this together, 4.15cuft after displacement, so its a little smaller Tuned to ~29Hz. I used the RE calculator for this one so I kinda guessed the tuning after displacement, and i'll probably brace it too which would have some effect as well from what I know

With this i'm basically looking for something that'll get loud for 2 T1s but still sound good (not going for massive SQ out of it, just want it to not be muddy/muffled), so feel free to tell me if my box is way too big, too small, whatever I've done a few for single subs that've come out decent but i've never tried anything of this size before

i built 2 boxes for a buddy with T1's. 2 cubes each tuned around 32hz sounded great, but i'd face the subs and port towards the hatch so it acts as a loading wall... just my 2 cents
