Hey guys, i have a dvc kicker compr 12 4ohm loaded enclosure, thinking of getting a new amp, was wondering when you get a new amp does the amp just assume the impedance that the sub is wired at and gives the watts at that ohms? an explanation would be great haha.

Thanks in advance

Yes, if you wire a DVC 4ohm down to 2ohm, then the amplifier will "see" a 2ohm load. Just look at the amplifier as the source of power. The gain and SSF will be set up the same way, regardless of if you're playing in to an 8ohm load or a 0.5ohm load. The final impedance always comes from the VC's.
