toadking90 Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 I'm going to be running 4 alpine sws 12d2 subs and want to check on my enclosure. forgive me for any errors. it has been a while and to explain the port I'm afraid i wont have enough room to fit all the subs unless the port is away from the top. so i figured i could just put it on the bottom and have enough room its going into a 2013 jeep compass so i don't have massive amounts of room
bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 well with those dimensions, u cant fit all 4 on the front or all 4 on the top. you can put 2 on top and 2 on front though. then you'll have room for any port u want and can put it on either the front or top if u want. what net volume and tuning r u going for, and do u want any perticular kind of port? 0,1,2,3 common walls or aeroport? also good to see u arent using re box calc.

bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 iive never heard of it hurting anything and ive seen builds with boxes like that from people in competitions on youtube and in froums like here, down4sound, caraudio, etc. they never said anything about it. but anyway the port dimensions u gave sound like a 1 wall port.
bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 a 2 or 3 common wall will be alot easier to build and design, but i personally like the 2 wall because its in the middle and symetrical.
toadking90 Posted July 6, 2014 Author Report Posted July 6, 2014 yeah i would rather do the slot port in the middle. just didnt know it was alright to do the subs in different areas. so would it be best to have it port up or back
bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 well its an suv so it doesnt really matter that much, u might as well face it up or whatever way u think it looks better
bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 never mind, put it backwards. it will be to long on top going down from the top, its alot better from back
bassaholic Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 http://postimg.org/image/jl7pr2m8z%C2'> rear facing port. i can make a design on sketchup if u r interested
