alpineking Posted July 19, 2014 Report Share Posted July 19, 2014 I built a box its 2 cubes after displacement them sub I built the box for is a alpine swr1242d powered by a jl audio jx 500/1 its a Aero ported box tuned to about 30hzs according to the 12volt.com I used 2 2inch by 7inch Aero port.it sounded great until recently. I brought the new model type R model number swr12D4 when I swapped them them box sounded like it was leaking air but I checked a few times now an its good.what could cause this?? Just a thought maybe box is too small or ports aren't big enough for the new sub. Weird enough when I put to fingers in each port the noise lessens if that makes any sense not sure y but it does Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
