Nsomnia Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 Hey guys, did some searching on the forums and havent found this topic, just looking to get some input on what to actually look for in a battery used for audio, whats the difference between a large heavy equipment battery compaired to a brand name audio battery. the reason i ask is because i bought a pair of stinger 1700s and they might just be the worst thing i have ever bought. so i guess im asking why get something like xs or kinetic over a generic large rv battery with 1400cca and high amp hours?

AGM batteries can be put under load for longer periods of time over wet cell batteries, so they are better for audio applications. What's wrong with your Stingers? Nsomnia Posted August 22, 2014 Author Report Posted August 22, 2014 the wouldent last my spl trials in the garage, charging them well but after a workout they wouldnt hold a charge. there the only battery i have ever had issues with, the rep replaiced them and again after a work out i started getting big voltage drops, turn the car of and the batterys wont hold a charge 1000 bucks to get them in canada!
