zZZzzzSnooze Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 How do you wire DD VO-B1 tweeters & VO-W12 speakers to an amp. Do you just connect them together & the load would be 2-ohms 250W RMS per CH? Or do you need to buy a crossover board?
Stephen13 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 The tweet has it’s own hi-pass filter. The woofer can be run full-range or you could lo-pass the signal with a passive X-over. If you are using a 4-channel amp you could lo-pass the signal to the woofers with the amp’s built in X-over. In this case the tweet’s X-over wouldn’t be needed if you wanted to go with an all active X-over setup.The woofer will be a 4Ω load at it’s range of frequencies and the tweet will present a 4Ω load to the high frequencies.
